Luciana Rodrigues
Luciana Rodrigues is brand new to New York by way of Austin, Texas where she earned her B.A. in Global Studies with a regional focus on Sub-Saharan Africa on a peace and conflict resolution track. In middle school a teacher told her that being overly inquisitive about everything is a trait she should never let go of. It has led her to always ask “Why?” – to the point of frustration for many. Asking why has led her to the DSI program where she can tackle not only the “whys” of the social issues of the world today, but also take it a step further to begin to address how to tackle these major social problems. She is most interested in working closely with refugee and immigrant communities, particularly in addressing the health challenges these two communities face in today’s world.
