Sebastian Barrera

Sebastian Barrera is a born-and-raised Colombian and has spent a lot of time developing public sector solutions to poverty in Colombia. He specializes in systems visualization and mapping, graphic design, operational management, and design research. He’s been involved in a wide range of projects, from creating a communication strategy for a Kenyan agribusiness tech startup to developing a multi-media platform that foster critical conversations in the humanitarian aid and development sectors. At present, Sebastian’s research explores technological and new media strategies that promote economic opportunities, cultural citizenship, and migration as a cultural and historical phenomenon that opens up collaborative possibilities between Diasporas and their countries of origin.
