Building on Coach ReLoved, Tara worked to build the vision and systems development of Coachtopia, the first sub-brand for Coach, an end-to-end circular collection aimed at Gen Z.
Tara teaches at Parsons School of Design, leading the senior design thesis in the Systems and Society pathway, an approach to design developing students’ capacity to use systems thinking in service of problem solving as their approach to collection design. Tara teaches Environmental Ethics as an alum at DSI, exploring the relationship between humans to nature. This course arms emerging impact designers with a sustainable mindset that respects the fundamental laws of nature as it applies to their work, even when the connections may not be obvious to see.
Tara’s DSI graduate thesis, PRETTY/UGLY is about fashion, waste and consumption with a focus on the under-leveraged role of designers to contribute to the climate crisis. She combines her skills of strategy, future thinking, and visionary optimism to inspire the next generation of designers.
