Ivan Boscariol

Ivan Boscariol is a service designer and researcher from Piracicaba, Brazil. He’s a constant learner who believes that governments must evolve before larger political change can occur. He earned a BA in International Relations from UNESP/Franca and has worked in social innovation workspaces, practiced design research at Design Echos, managed a public service design team at the Tellus Institute, and organized learning festivals at the Impact HUB São Paulo. Ivan came to DSI to build more empathetic solutions for people and to New York to learn about co-creation, cooking, and the ways people can be protagonists in building their own city.

Since graduating from DSI, Ivan has become an Innovation Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (Washington, DC), facilitating and promoting innovation through human-centered design. Before, was Project Manager and Senior Consultant for Public Services Innovation in EloGroup, a consultancy firm based in Brazil. He has also worked in projects in citizen and customer experience, organizational design, Behavioral Economics for healthcare, economic development and other fields related to government innovation.
