Darya (Dasha) Zlochevsky

Darya Zlochevsky was born in Kiev, Ukraine and raised in a small village located on southwestern foothills of the Carpathian mountains. As a teenager she migrated to New York where she became fascinated with science and psychology. Darya studied Forensic Psychology and Law at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and attended Columbia University for her graduate degree in Psychology. With 8 years of research experience working in highly-collaborative multidisciplinary STEM environments, Darya is now interested in exploring avenues where design can aid in communication of scientific insights. Her aim is to bridge the gap between research, society and organizational growth.

Thesis Projects

Rooted Restaurants

“Rooted Restaurants” is reimagining restaurant resilience. The project focuses on local solutions and tools to co-create community restaurant resilience. The goal is to increase communications between restaurants on Avenue B in the East Village and their respective communities.
