Jerome Simeon, aka Junior Racine Mapou, is a master drummer and master craftsperson of Haitian ceremonial/folkloric percussion instruments. Join Junior with esteemed percussionists Markus Schwartz (Lakou Brooklyn) and Ches Smith for a live drumming performance and a screening of the documentary short film Junior about his craft and the Haitian tradition. See, hear, and feel many of Junior’s drum creations up close and personal.
