Unfair is aimed towards reimagining a more equitable future state of mainstream Indian media, by building radical inclusivity to shift the age old colourist narrative that paints fair skin as superior and more desirable to dark skin.
Aditi Kapre
Aditi Kapre is from Pune, India. She recently graduated from the MIT Institute of Design, Pune, as a communication designer. India is a quickly developing country, and Aditi hopes to to gain the tools and insight to use design as a way of social intervention. She is interested in learning about the different touch points of interaction in a system — people, technology and the environment. Through DSI, Aditi hopes to be able to help make design (and the world) more inclusive and sensitive.
Kartik Krishnan
Kartik Krishnan was born and raised in Mumbai, a city where the two extremes — the haves and the have nots — live in close proximity. He comes to DSI with a desire to equip himself with the skillsets required to try and leave a more balanced landscape in India, where everyone has access to a better quality of life through good education and healthcare systems. His prior work experience includes working with a management consultancy firm, volunteering as a teacher in a government-run school for children from low-income households in Mumbai and interning on a healthcare project in rural Bihar, India.
