About The Lecture

Rex Tai is a resident physician at Montefiore Medical Center. With a background working as a community organizer and harm reduction volunteer in Chicago, Rex kept himself very busy in medical school. He has been active in APAMSA, Chicago Health Coalition for Black Lives, the Chicago Human Rights Collaborative, and Students for a National Health Program. As part of the Urban Medicine Program, he has done longitudinal work on food insecurity in the local community by creating a food resource navigator program. His research interests are focused on improving outcomes for people who use drugs. Outside of medicine, Rex is a ramen enthusiast.
