Lokelani Alabanza is an ice cream maker based in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from New England Culinary Institute in Essex Junction, Vermont, and then was taken around the world through her culinary career. She was most recently a Culinary Director and an Executive Pastry Chef before starting her own company, Saturated Ice cream, in 2020. Lokelani creates beautiful flavored ice cream that sparks emotion and imagination, and she uses her craft to educate about the history of African American cooking. Her most cherished ingredient is nostalgia.
