Fiona Sun is a designer from China with a strong focus on using visual storytelling and experience design to address social issues. She is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts BFA program. Fiona previously served as vice president of a feminist club, where she led campaigns and events using digital tools and social media to engage her community. Her projects often explore cultural identity, emotional expression, and sustainability, including a recent concept called “GlowCycle,” which reimagines cosmetic waste as a resource for funeral beauty services. Fiona has also interned in the fashion industry, gaining hands-on experience in branding and creative development.

At SVA’s MFA Design for Social Innovation program, she aims to further integrate research, technology, and empathy into solutions that create meaningful change.
