As a treasured member of the DSI faculty since our inaugural year, Hannah has been helping our students understand who they are, and who they can aspire to be as social change agents in whatever community in which they’re working. She’s taking some of her knowledge public now, with her TEDx talk in Pittsburgh.
This year, TEDxPittsburgh celebrates ideas that eradicate pretense, search for truth, and reach for something greater. To that end, the theme for 2017 is Awakening: Ideas on the Rise, where they celebrate the incredible ideas that continue to rise up from every corner of the Pittsburgh region.
Specifically, Hannah’s talk will focus on questions like: “What if we could learn how to understand each other?” “What if we could practice not rushing to judgment? Is there a how-to guide for these things? Faculty Hannah du Plessis will illustrate her ideas and answer such questions on June 4th at TEDxPittsburgh.
Stay tuned. We’ll post her video as soon as she’s done.
