Faculty member Nicholas Fortugno recently conducted game testing with alumni of the program at the DSI space. Students were players an immersive prototype exploring social behaviors, game mechanics and peer dynamics. After, they reflected on the game and provided feedback on the user experience. This provocative game is being developed by Nick and his team at Playmatics and will be used in high-schools nation-wide in conjunction with the release of an upcoming documentary.
Nicholas Fortugno and co-faculty Mattie Brice teach DSI’s Games for Impact course, where students learn about game theory and analysis while working in teams to create functional prototypes of games that address social and political issues.
