DSI faculty Archie Lee Coates IV and Jeff Franklin‘s design studio PLAYLAB, INC. has debuted their second large-scale public art installation, FANTASY LANDSCAPES, along Avenue of the Americas.

FANTASY LANDSCAPES is made up of four individual installations, representative of four locations in Central and South America, including Torres Del Paine, Lake Atitlán, Atacama Desert, and Iguazu Falls, sites so surreal and beautiful they are often used as backdrops in movie sets. The installation is hosted by the Avenue of the Americas Association, and is meant to spotlight Latin America by taking visitors on a “tour” of some of their most breathtaking locations.

PLAYLAB, INC is a New York City-based creative studio focused on exploring various themes using art, architecture, and graphic design, with the goal of creating experiences for brands, organizations, and people.

FANTASY LANDSCAPES is up from July 22nd until October 2019. Read more here for details about how to see the installation and how it was created. Check it out!
