Applications to the Alumni Scholarship Award Fund are reviewed by an alumni panel; selected projects receive cash awards from $500 to $2000 intended to cover project expenses. Awards are distributed annually to undergraduate and graduate students in their final year at SVA to aid in the completion of final thesis or portfolio projects.
Rutvi is working on Dear Allies, a program that connects dependent spouses (a group of immigrants whose work authorizations are currently in danger) with citizens in their community, creating a network of activated support. Catalina and Taylor are working on Returnity, a workplace assessment and online platform that helps companies build a more supportive environment for new moms returning to work.
This year, SVA selected 47 student projects, which will collectively receive over $60,000. We’re excited to have DSI represented in this talented lineup. Learn more here about thesis funding opportunities.
