One of the largest annual juried design competitions, the A’ Design Award and Competition is organized and awarded internationally in a wide array of categories ranging from industrial design to architecture. Every year, projects that focus on innovation, technology, design and creativity are awarded with the A’ Award to push them further for success.
Grace Hseih ’16 received the award for her project #afHDR, as part of the A’ International Design Award and Competition. She explains #afHDR as “a series of illustration infographics cards used on social media. I worked with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to create compelling infographic cards to propagate the message of accelerating gender equality and women’s empowerment from the Africa Human Development Report 2016. This report analyzes the political, economic and social drivers that hamper African women’s advancement and proposes policies and concrete actions to close the gender gap.”
A’ Graphic Design Award winners are listed at World Design Rankings, highlighted on Design Classification, and showcased on DesignMag.org. Grace will also be attending the award ceremony on June 9th in Italy. A huge congratulations to Grace and her continued success!
