About DSI

We’re not fond of acronyms, but they seem to be unavoidable in contemporary life, since otherwise sentences would be more than twice as long. The translation of this headline is: John Snow, Inc, the global Measurement and Evaluation company came to MFA Design for Social Innovation at SVA last week to teach the second of four modules planned for the class of 2017.

Taught by Anne LaFond, Natasha Kanagat, Amanda Makulec, the classes are designed to complement the thesis process, teaching students how to develop their own measurement plan and data collection. For DSI students, this is a rare opportunity to work with one of the most respected M&E organizations in the world, and to apply their techniques to measuring the impact of their own thesis projects.
