Alessandra Orofino

Alessandra Orofino has a background in economics, public policy, and research. She is a lead strategist at Purpose, where she started the company’s practice in Brazil. She is also co-founder and board member of Meu Rio, a new organization that is developing tools for civic engagement and participation in her native city of Rio de Janeiro.

She has previously worked at a corporate social responsibility consultancy that provides strategic advice to major Brazilian corporations, and in women’s rights advocacy and research in Brazil and India. She has also collaborated with Beyond One, an online magazine about ideas that are changing the future of humanity, written by a collective of writers in diverse fields.

Alessandra holds a degree in Economics and Human Rights from Columbia University.
